Michigan Nanny Solutions is now interviewing for the following position:

A loving family in Gobles is seeking a Full-Time Nanny for 40 hours per week!

Parents are looking to hire an experienced Professional Career Nanny to provide top-notch loving care and consistent learning and development for their two children, 1-year-old boy/girl twins, for a long-term, multi-year commitment.  Nanny will work Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm for a total of 40 hours per week.  Family will guarantee a minimum of 40 hours a week and overtime will be paid for every hour worked over 40 each week.  The ideal Nanny for this family will be able to start right away!

The Nanny will partner with the parents to care for the emotional, social, developmental, and educational needs of the family’s two toddler children.  They will be a loving, enthusiastic caregiver and playmate who loves the children like family and is deeply invested in their health, safety, education, and growth.  The Nanny and the children will spend their days playing, exploring, and learning together, and Nanny will seek out opportunities to engage the children in fun and educational activities inside and, when the twins are a little older, outside the home.  Nanny will become the twins’ best friend and favorite playmate, and will also be an important role model, supporting the parents as they intentionally raise emotionally intelligent and empathetic young people who treat every person they meet with dignity, kindness, and respect.  The family would love to hire a Nanny who has experience teaching and using American Sign Language with children, and who has knowledge of and/or experience with Montessori methods and can easily facilitate child-led learning, teaching through play and experiences, and helping the twins explore their interests as they grow up.

Nanny will help with light child-related housekeeping such as helping with the children’s laundry, tidying and maintaining organization in the their bedrooms and play areas, basic meal prep for the children, running/emptying the dishwasher, and other clean up after meals and activities.

The family has one large dog who is sweet, gentle, and loving and will only need to be let out once or twice during Nanny’s work day. No other care will be needed for the dog—just being willing to give him love and attention, too!

The ideal Nanny for this family is a warm, friendly, and self-motivated career-minded childcare professional who takes pride in offering the families they work with a high level of trustworthiness, responsibility, and dependability.  They will have a positive and inclusive outlook on life and will strive to treat others with respect, kindness, and empathy (and be skilled in modeling these traits for the children they care for!)  They will have a deeply ingrained passion for working with children and take personal and professional joy in investing in the children in their care, keeping them safe, healthy, and engaged, watching them learn and grow under their influence, and thrilling along with the parents over every new stage, development, and accomplishment as they grow.  Nanny will have excellent communication skills and will feel comfortable sharing ideas and feedback with the parents about the twins’ development and their needs as they change.  They will be a creative and engaging playmate and educator who believes in laying an early foundation for learning by engaging the children with books, songs, toys, and exploring the world around them.  Above all else, Nanny will be a maternal and loving caregiver who will quickly become an important part of the family, a valued member of the parenting team, and who will love, care for, and take pride in the children in their care as if they were their own.  The parents would love to work with someone who has a degree or coursework in early childhood education or child development and/or someone who has worked with several sets of multiples in their career.  A minimum of 3 years of professional childcare experience is required.

This position requires a long-term commitment to the family, and preference will be given to the candidate who is willing to stay for more than three years.  A minimum of 1 year commitment is required.  Pay will start at $22-25 per hour depending on education and experience.  Nanny will have guaranteed pay, paid time off, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, and other standard nanny benefits.   Details will be discussed with qualified nannies at an in-person interview.
