Michigan Nanny Solutions is now interviewing for the following position:
A loving family in East Grand Rapids is seeking a Full-Time, Long-Term Infant Nanny for 40 hours per week!
Parents are looking to hire an experienced, professional Career Nanny with extensive experience working with infants and toddlers to provide top-notch loving care and consistent learning and development to their infant daughter, who will be 5-months-old when Nanny starts. Nanny will work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm for a total of 40 hours per week. Family will guarantee a minimum of 40 hours a week and overtime will be paid for every hour worked over 40 each week. Nanny will start on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024 and work Tuesday-Friday for this first week of employment, and Family hopes their Nanny will grow with their family for many years to come!
Nanny will partner with the parents to care for the emotional, social, developmental, and educational needs of the baby girl. They will be a loving, maternal caregiver who is invested in the child’s health, safety, education, and growth long-term. They will have experience with various approaches to infant care, knowledge of child development and best practices, and be skilled in facilitating child-led learning, teaching through play and experiences, and helping the baby girl explore her interests as she grows up.
As Baby Girl’s best friend, playmate, and educator, Nanny should be engaging and attentive, able to plan gross and fine motor skills activities and sensory activities, and should be fostering a love of and excitement for learning and exploring the world around them from day one. Daily outside playtime is expected, and when Baby Girl is older, playdates, story times, classes, and other age-appropriate social excursions will be encouraged. The family is very active with outdoor sports year-round and hope to share their love of being active, spending time outside daily, and being adventurous with their daughter and with their Nanny! They would love to have their Nanny travel with them on some of their annual adventures, both nationally and internationally. They hope to hire a Nanny who loves being outside as much as they do, has experience with or is comfortable around a variety of outdoor sports, and is passport ready!
The Nanny will also be responsible for light child-related housekeeping, including: doing the baby’s laundry, washing bottles daily and other dishes used, tidying and maintaining organization in the baby’s room and play room, and tidying up after themself and the baby in the common areas (living room, kitchen, etc.)
The family has one medium sized dog who is “employed” at the dad’s workplace as the official office greeter, so most days she will not be home with the Nanny and Baby Girl. On the rare occasion the dog cannot go to work with her dad, Nanny will be asked to let her out into the fenced-in yard as needed, but no other care will be needed for her—just being willing to give her love and attention, too!
The Ideal Nanny for this family is an active, fun-loving, friendly, and dedicated child caregiver who has a personal and professional passion for spending their days investing in the children they care for, making sure they feel seen, understood, and loved, and keeping them safe, healthy, and engaged. They are a professional Career Nanny with solid work ethic, a work history of making long-term commitments to the families they work with, and will bring a high level of reliability and responsibility to their role as a family’s employee. They pride themselves on being punctual, flexible, and dependable, which will help ensure the professional success of the mom, who is a surgeon. This Ideal Nanny is a maternal and loving caregiver who will naturally become an important part of the family and thrill along with the parents over every new stage, development, and accomplishment as Baby Girl grows up. The Family hopes Nanny quickly feels like family, and will be comfortable and confident in keeping open, honest lines of communication with the parents on all things related to the child and the position. Parents would love to have Nanny join them on family vacations and hope to hire someone who is willing to participate in the outdoor sports and exploration/adventures they’ll plan these vacations around (ie. skiing, golfing, hiking, etc.) Preference will be given to well-qualified Nannies who are active and adventurous by nature, are passport-ready, and are excited to join the family in the outdoor activities they plan their vacations around!
This position requires a long-term commitment to the family, and preference will be given to the candidate who is willing to invest in this family for the next 5+ years. A minimum of 1 year commitment is required. Pay will start at $22-26 per hour depending on education and experience. Nanny will have guaranteed pay, paid time off, paid sick days, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, and other standard nanny benefits. Details will be discussed with qualified nannies at an in-person interview.
